In this week’s episode of the podcast, I am joined by psychotherapist Mary Jo Rapini to discuss how to deal with being “ghosted”. “Ghosting” isn’t a new phenomenon as men have been “disappearing” for centuries. Today we see that more people than ever utilize “ghosting” as a passive-aggressive way of ending a dating relationship without using words to communicate that they are no longer interested in continuing to engage with the person.
Mary Jo also discusses the importance of “dating like a grown-up” and gives some great tips on determining if your potential date is mature enough to sustain a healthy relationship.
Mary Jo Rapini is a practicing psychotherapist with a private practice in Houston, Texas, and an author whose mission is to build and encourage healthy, strong relationships, beginning with the most important relationship of all – the one with yourself. She is also a contributing expert at Fox.26 with “Ask Mary Jo.”
Mary Jo has been featured on CNN, TLC, Discovery Health, The Steve Harvey Show, and Dateline NBC. She believes that every relationship you will ever have depends upon your ability to understand and get along with yourself.
