Baseline testing is the concept of testing athletes on their mental and physical abilities prior to the season. The results of these tests can be valuable if an athlete sustains a concussion during the sports season as tests can be re-administered to determine the level of impairment and whether an athlete has fully recovered and is safe to return to their sport. In this episode we cover the latest evidence on baseline testing, how to find a good baseline test, and some of the controversies.
