Ryan Else, Corporate Fixed Operations Director at Eide Auto Group in North Dakota, joins the show today to talk about the role of service and collision in the electric vehicle space (imagine that!) Although North Dakota has one of the lowest rates of EV adoption in the country, Ryan openly discusses his expectations for the future of fixed operations involving electric drivetrains. Will it include parts subscriptions for tires? Will it heavily focus on OTAs (over-the-air updates)? Or will it be all of the above? What will give franchise dealerships the upper hand when trying to deal with EVs profitably in the service lane?
