Welcome to Daily Growth Point, I’m Pastor John Bingham.
Happy New Year! Have you considered the weight of that statement? It’s a desire that God would bless another person’s new year.
If you do a simple study of joy or happiness in the Bible, you will find a consistent thread to those that are happy find that their source of joy is the Lord. God brings us the greatest joy and happiness in this life.
There are numerous examples of those that knew God’s joy, happiness, and peace.
Nehemiah, a great builder and servant of God said, “…for the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10).
In a low place in David’s life the Bible shared that he “...encouraged himself in the Lord his God” (1 Samuel 30:6).
George Muller said, “The first great and primary business to which I ought to attend every day is to have my soul happy in the Lord.”
As we begin a brand new year, may we be willing to “rejoice in the Lord alway, again I saw rejoice””
