This week we have another great episode for you, B-Side Family! One thing that we can count on is that change is inevitable! But just because we know that, doesn't make it easier to accept or live through. When you get married (or enter into a committed relationship with someone), that is only one version of that person and people will evolve over time. As a person changes, so should your relationship, and that isn't always for the better!
In today's episode, we talk about:
✨ Recognizing when things are changing between you and your partner
✨ How to communicate with your partner about those changes
✨ What having a growth mindset looks like in marriage
✨ Evaluating when the differences are too much to accept
✨ and much, much more!
If you want your relationship to last, it has to be able to adapt as both partners (and situations) change. Having a growth mindset and being willing to have difficult conversations can help facilitate this transition. It is important to express compassion and empathy with each other, and yourself, as you navigate the roller coaster of life.
Do you think there is a difference between growth and change? How have either one of them impacted your relationship? Let us know in the comments!
