Think about that quote. Really think about it. It makes me tear up because I think this is what so many of us strive for, but sometimes, it's so hard to do. I share this quote because today's episode is a conversation I had with Daniela Giangiorgi who graciously shares her "lemons, so we can make lemonade." Daniela and I talk about her divorce, her journey with cancer, but the underlying theme throughout our conversation is that you cannot be truly yourself, if you are not honoring yourself. And you are not able to honor yourself (fully) if you are constantly putting others first. There were so many points that Daniela made that stuck me deeply...like that mirror you didn't want in your face...but it's so important to have those conversations because then you're aware of what needs to be looked at.
