Episode #120 Rik Vercoe The Relentless Marathon Runner "If I Can do it so Can you" 10 in 10 Sub 30hrs
Most people will know Rik as being the Race Director from Phoenix Running but there is a lot more to this cowboy than people will realise.
He held the world record for 10 marathons in 10 days running 7 of those under sub 3 leaving with a sub 30hr accumulative time, he held the British Record for the most marathons ran in a calendar year, he has ran in some of the big races such as MDS, Great Wall of China, and the North Pole.
In this episode we break down the Relentless Ultra which sounds pretty awesome, but it was Rik's ability to run marathon after marathon in incredible times that in my mind makes him so awesome.
It didn't come easy, you can tell through this episode how focused and discplined he was to the training but also quite a bit of pig ignorance invovled.
