Nobody likes getting sick, and especially now with the COVID-19 numbers on the rise it's critical to keep our immune system healthy. Most people don't think about the health of their immune system until we finally feel something coming on. We feel the cold, sickness, a virus, a strep throat coming on, and then suddenly we are stocking up right we're trying all the home remedy tricks and everything we learn from our grandmother's.
However, as I always say a good offense is the best defense, and the best way to fight off illness no matter what it is is to prevent them in the first place and you can do a few simple things each and every day to improve your immune system.

Immune System Offense Instead of Defense
I hear a lot that I tried X remedy and it didn't work.
Most often when that happens it's because they've waited too late. Waiting too late happens when we aren't in touch with our body so we don't know when something is a mess when something's coming on and waiting too long happens when we're not playing offense.
So instead of scouring Amazon or your local pharmacy when you get sick and trying to find all of the remedies...maybe, just maybe, you try a little bit of offense.
Today we're going to talk about some simple steps that you can do each day. These tips are good for the whole family. And especially good for people with autoimmune disease. These tips will help you more than that vitamin C and herbal tea and all the things that you reach for when you've already come down with something.
Immune System Tips
Get Enough Sleep (you can learn more about sleep hygiene in episode 116 and plant medicine for sleep in 117)
Getting enough quality sleep each night is so essential for a healthy immune system. Try to get the recommended 7-8 hours of sound sleep each night, which may take some practice to build up to.
