Your mindset affects your business and when mastered, can become foundational for incredible success. This is what separates the top sales performers from the pack. We welcome to the program our friend Michael Hammelburger to share what he has learned about having the right mindset for success in sales. Michael is the Founder of Sales Therapy, where he provides training and coaching for professionals looking to improve their selling skills.
Michael believes that sales is an art, a learnable skill and one that should be authentic, always willing to do what is in the best interest of their client or prospect. Sell only what they need and want, and not to hit a quota. The difference between high performers and low performers is often a reflection of those who have a growth mindset vs a fixed mindset.
We also touch on the importance of setting expectations, receiving a “no” and to receive that quickly. Michael stated that getting a “no” should be considered a success, as this avoids pressure and wasting time. You go from being an opponent, to becoming an ally.
