The evening of October 29th, 2022, was supposed to be a fun night out in the bustling neighborhood of Itaewon, Seoul, South Korea. It was the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic that large crowds were allowed to gather again. More than 100,000 people flocked to Itaewon for Halloween parties and festivities. However, the fun night quickly turned to horror as a preventable tragedy unfolded, leaving hundreds dead.
