Here is episode 125 of the Dreams of Consciousness podcast, featuring an interview with Piotr Wiwczarek of Vader.

Vader are a seminal force in the history of death metal. Emerging from Poland in the early Eighties, they became the first death metal band from that country to be have a release on an international label when their debut The Ultimate Incantation came out on Earache Records. Their thrashy style paved the way for future blast worshippers like Krisiun, as well as the plethora of Polish death metal bands who emerged in Vader's wake.

I spoke with Vader's founder Piotr Wiwczarek about the writing and recording of the soon to be released album Solitude In Madness. Piotr also indulged me by discussing at length the creation of Vader's third album, Black To The Blind - a landmark album both in death metal's rebirth at the turn of the millennium, and my own musical journey.
