Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Proverbs 23:17-18
Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long. For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”

DEVOTION
Based on Proverbs 23
It’s easy to envy those who seem to prosper despite living apart from God. This verse reminds us to shift our focus from worldly success to a life centered on reverence for the Lord. The fear of the Lord—living in awe, obedience, and trust—brings a lasting reward, while worldly gain is temporary.
God assures us that there is an “end”—a future where His justice prevails and His promises are fulfilled. When we trust in Him, our hope is secure. His plans for us will never fail, and His blessings will far outweigh anything the world offers.
Take a moment tonight to reflect on where your heart finds satisfaction. Breathe out comparison, and breathe in contentment in God’s promises. Ask Him to help you focus on His eternal rewards rather than fleeting worldly success.

SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to trust in Your timing and purpose. Teach me to fear You above all else and find joy in Your presence rather than worldly comparisons. Strengthen my faith to hold onto Your promises, knowing that my expectation in You will never be cut off.

Heavenly Father, You know our hearts and how easily we can get sidetracked on the journey to life's ultimate destination. Give us Your strength to stay committed and passionate in whatever paths we choose. Let us remember that it is only through Your grace that we are able to persevere. When temptations arise, give us courage to reject them and stay on the path of righteousness You have put before us. Let our focus remain steadfast in following Your ways and trusting Your promises as we commit ourselves to our goals. We thank You for giving us the strength, courage, and commitment to persevere in our journey. Guide us each step of the way so that when we reach success, it will be a victory that is solely Yours. In Jesus' name. Amen. 🙏🏾
