Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”
JAMES 4:6
DEVOTION
Based on James 4
God’s grace is abundant but flows to those who humble themselves before Him. Pride blinds us to our need for God, making us self-reliant instead of God-dependent. When we walk in humility—acknowledging our need for His wisdom, strength, and mercy—He pours out even more grace.
God resists the proud because pride exalts self over Him. But when we humble ourselves, surrendering our will to His, we receive His help, favor, and strength. Humility is not weakness; it’s a posture of trust that allows God to lift us up.
Take a moment tonight to examine your heart. Breathe out self-reliance, and breathe in the grace of God. Ask Him to give you a humble spirit that seeks His presence above all.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His grace, which sustains and strengthens you. Express gratitude for the times He has humbled you and drawn you closer to Him.
SUPPLICATION: Father, help me walk humbly and depend fully on You. Teach me to let go of pride and receive Your grace with an open heart. Let my life reflect Your love, and may I always seek to serve You with humility and trust.

JAMES 4:6
Dear Heavenly Father, We come to You in humble supplication, acknowledging Your grace and mercy. You have called us to resist the spirit of pride and remain in a state of humility at all times. We seek to be humbled before You, recognizing our many sins and shortcomings. We desire Your grace and mercy in abundance, knowing that it is only through Your love that we can find true peace and joy. So we thank You for the blessing of grace, that You have given us the opportunity to remain in a state of humility, having faith that You will love us in spite of our flaws. We pray for a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness, knowing that it pleases You when we are humble before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
