Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.”

DEVOTION

God’s grace is abundant but flows to those who humble themselves before Him. Pride blinds us to our need for God, making us self-reliant instead of God-dependent. When we walk in humility—acknowledging our need for His wisdom, strength, and mercy—He pours out even more grace.
God resists the proud because pride exalts self over Him. But when we humble ourselves, surrendering our will to His, we receive His help, favor, and strength. Humility is not weakness; it’s a posture of trust that allows God to lift us up.
Take a moment tonight to examine your heart. Breathe out self-reliance, and breathe in the grace of God. Ask Him to give you a humble spirit that seeks His presence above all.

So we thank You for the blessing of grace, that You have given us the opportunity to remain in a state of humility, having faith that You will love us in spite of our flaws. We pray for a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness, knowing that it pleases You when we are humble before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
