Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Proverbs 16:32

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”
PROVERBS 16:32

DEVOTION
Based on Proverbs 16
This verse highlights the power of self-control. In a world that values strength, victory, and dominance, God tells us that true greatness is found in mastering our own emotions. Controlling anger and responding with patience takes more strength than overpowering others.

A mighty warrior may conquer cities, but one who rules their spirit gains something even greater—inner peace, wisdom, and the ability to reflect God’s character. The Holy Spirit empowers us to exercise patience, discipline, and grace in every situation.

Take a moment tonight to reflect on your self-control. Breathe out frustration, and breathe in God’s peace. Ask Him to help you master your emotions so that you may walk in wisdom and strength.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for His patience and self-control. Worship Him as the One who gives you strength to rule over your emotions with wisdom and grace.

CONFESSION: Reflect on moments when anger or impatience controlled you. Confess any struggles in this area, and ask God to help you develop self-discipline.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for His Spirit, which empowers you to overcome anger. Express gratitude for the wisdom and peace He provides when you surrender your emotions to Him.

SUPPLICATION: Father, teach me to be slow to anger and listen quickly. Help me rule my spirit with wisdom rather than reacting impulsively. Strengthen me with patience, humility, and grace so that my actions reflect Your character. Let my life demonstrate the true strength found in self-control.

PRAYER
“He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”
PROVERBS 16:32
Dear Lord, As we meditate on our own proclivity towards anger, we ask for You to cultivate self-control in our lives. Grant us the wisdom to resist temptation and to maintain a steadfast spirit, even in the face of adversity. May we be slow to anger and quick to forgive, knowing that kindness and patience are characteristics that please You. We pray for Your guidance and strength to overcome any obstacles that may come our way, leaning on your love and power to carry us through. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. 🙏🏾
