My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”

DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 73
This verse acknowledges the reality of human weakness. Our bodies grow weary, and our hearts can become discouraged. Yet even when our strength fails, God remains our source of hope and power. He is the strength of our hearts, sustaining us when we have nothing left to give.
God is our portion—our inheritance and greatest treasure. Nothing on earth can satisfy or sustain us like His presence. When we feel weak or broken, He faithfully holds us up and renews our strength. He is all we need today and forever.
Take a moment tonight to rest in God’s strength. Breathe out exhaustion and discouragement, and breathe in His sustaining presence. Trust that He is your strength and your portion, both now and forever.

ADORATION: Praise God for being your strength and constant portion. Worship Him for His unchanging love and faithfulness that upholds you every season.
CONFESSION: Reflect on when you’ve relied on your strength and felt overwhelmed. Confess your limitations and acknowledge your dependence on Him.
THANKSGIVING: Thank God for sustaining you when you are weak. Express gratitude for His strength that renews your heart and keeps you moving forward.
SUPPLICATION: Father, when my strength fails, be the strength of my heart. Remind me that You are my portion and my greatest treasure. Help me to rest in Your power and trust in Your unfailing love, knowing You will carry me through every trial.

Dear Lord, You are my strength and my portion forever. I look to You for guidance in moments of darkness where my heart feels weak. In these times, I remember that You have promised never to leave me nor forsake me. By Your grace, You have given me the courage to press on even when I feel lost. Your strength is unparalleled and immeasurable - it fills me up with hope, faith and resilience. Even when I stand at the edge of exhaustion, You remind me that Your grace is sufficient for me. I rest in Your presence knowing that no matter what life throws at me, You will be with me every step of the way, never failing to give me love and strength. In my moments of weakness, I thank You for being my portion forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
