The Magic Organ

Episode 129: Without Cheese

Listen Later

First off apologies for any band names or song titles that get mangled in this episode and in past episodes and well out into the future. Maybe folks don't listen to world music and from places with funny letters cuz the words is hard to pronounce? That would be ironical, cuz music is a nonverbal language (with words and shit sometimes) that humans use to communicate with each other.

I love the second track SAME SHIT, I need to check the rest of the new Isaiah Rashad record, I'm excited about the new Stik Figa record so it's good to see some hip hop bangers coming out as the weather gets hotter. Otherwise, 13 minutes of quality -- world music, funk, ambient and a mash of indie and dancefloor from Frost Children that is a great idea but fell a bit wide of the bullseye.

Hey be a guest DJ on this show, show me 6 songs it will be super fun, somebody out there gotta have flavor, no? It's all about flavor, being creative and showing flavor to each other.

Excerpts from this episode:

Fauna: Bland traden

Isaiah Rashad: SAME SHIT

Pilori: A Pierre Fendree

Royce Wood Junior: Slush

Hoavi: Wayang

Frost Children: Bound2U

Feel free, (it's free!) to follow me on the on the shameful status toilet called Instagram where I conversate and show my love for music as themagic_organ. I got it friggin' goin' on over there, denouncing spectacle based American culture and serving up fresh bangers as I unearth them. Or brandish upon me 5 shits on the itunes, 5 starry shits on the itunes I dare not dream!!! Cough it up people. Or you can email me to say how I changed your life with all this great music. Music can be social, you can have opinions, the roar of the masses are not just farts as the Minutemen used to say.

I'm always open to listener suggested playlists if you feel you can hang with the host. I'll even co host the show with you and I will be super nice. I might even serve biscuits. C'mon take the bait! LFG.

You can find these artists on bandcamp and streaming outlets. You can support them by listening and telling your friends. You can tell other people about this concentrated blast of new music goodness, bursting with farm fresh flavor. You can celebrate what I do and what musicians do! Let this shitass 13 minute podcast be your guiding light. God forbid.
