Even though podcasting has been around for a decade or so, it is still in its developmental infancy. Exactly how it will grow is still a topic for debate.
For the longest time, the radio industry has looked down on podcasting. They never really saw much potential in it as a real money-making business, until recently. Now with so many podcasts making substantial incomes, some radio people are taking notice and getting involved.
One of those is Steve Goldstein of Amplifi Media. (www.AmplifiMedia.com). Steve has been a career radio broadcaster and was one of the founding partners of Saga Communications which operates dozens of radio stations in 23 markets. For many years he was the VP of Programming for Saga and earned a reputation as a very smart, thoughtful and talented radio programmer.
So it came as a surprise to many people when Steve left Saga Communications (and the radio industry) to focus on podcasting by starting Amplifi Media.
