On today’s episode: hosts Brandon and Tamia delve into the life of Esther Jones, a.k.a. the Real Betty Boop. The iconic cartoon character Betty Boop was inspired by Jones, then a Black jazz singer in Harlem. The character was introduced by cartoonist Max Fleischer in 1930.
