Amy, Avalyn, and Peder discuss the newest DC movie and “The Rock” vehicle, Black Adam. After years of being locked away, Kahndaqi rebel Adriana (Sarah Shahi) accidentally brings back Teth Adam (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson), the ancient “hero” of her nation. Now Adriana and Teth Adam must protect the Crown of Sabbac from falling into the hands of Intergang. Meanwhile, Hawkman’s (Aldis Hodge) Justice Society doesn’t trust Teth Adam’s intentions and disapprove of his murderous methods. Will our reviewers be able to take what DC and The Rock are cooking?

This week: Amy, Avalyn, and Peder watch Holloweens End. Several years have passed since Halloween Kills, and the town is still trying to come to grips with what happened. Cory, played by Rohan Campbell, is a young boy with a bright future until a tragic accident sets him on a dark path with Micheal Meyers waiting at the end. How will Laurie (Jaimee Lee Curtis) handle her granddaughter, Allyson (Andi Matichak), getting closer to the potentially evil Cory. Will the horror of Micheal Meyers end this Halloween? Or will we manage to revive it for another reboot-sequel?

On today’s episode: hosts Amy, Peder, and Avalyn discuss Bros, one of the first unapologetically queer rom coms to come to the big screen. He is also a forty year old man who has never been in a serious relationship, and is afraid to let his guard down. Meanwhile, Aaron is an equally emotionally distant gay man who is afraid to let his queerness take up space in the world. Will these two finally open up around each other, or will they just stay bros with benefits? Bonus Content: the hosts discuss a different kind of bros: The Mario Bros. Enjoy this side quest as we talk about The Super Mario Bros Trailer that just dropped. Let’s-a Go, Bros!

On today’s episode: hosts Amy, Peder, and Avalyn discuss “X” and “Pearl,” the two latest horror films from director Ti West. “X” is a 2022 slasher film written, directed, produced and edited by West. It stars Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Martin Henderson, Brittany Snow, Owen Campbell, Stephen Ure, and Scott Mescudi. The film's plot follows a cast and crew who gather to make a pornographic film on an elderly couple's rural Texas property, but find themselves threatened by an unlikely killer. “Pearl” (2022) is a psychological slasher film co-written by West and Goth, who reprises her role as the title character. Secretly filmed simultaneously with “X” (2022). “Pearl” serves as that film's prequel, showing the title character's early life in 1918 decades before the events of “X.” Sex, drugs, and geriatric patients.
