Bikepacking has continued to become a very popular type of bicycle activity and Bikepacking Roots was started in 2017 by Kurt Refsnider and Kaitlyn Boyle, both professional bikepacker/bikepack racers, who are still an important part of the staff. This is a one stop shop type of website that provides bikepackers with resources like interactive maps, well thought out routes and current conditions like fires or weather issues. They can also help you determine what public land is available for bikepacking along with advocating for future land suitable for bikepacking.
