Did you know that every year there is a dedicated group of medical professionals who spend all of RAGBRAI with one purpose….to take care of us?! Bob Libby is back to talk about Care Ambulance and what they do during RAGBRAI! Bob is the CEO of Care Ambulance LLC and he has a team of the men and women who drive the route each year in ambulances and motos, rendering aid to cyclists who need it.

Did you see Will Walker this year on RAGBRAI? He finished his 4th time pedaling across the state and if you saw him, you already know he rides RAGBRAI a bit different than the rest of us. His bike moves forward, but he is literally sitting backwards on his bicycle! You may wonder (like we did) WHY and HOW. Listen to this episode to find out!

Beth Howard, Producer/Director of PIEOWA, is on to give us her opinion on why pie and RAGBRAI fit so well together. Beth is the author of three pie-themed books and the former (and final) resident of the American Gothic House where she ran the Pitchfork Pie Stand. PIEOWA: A PIECE OF AMERICA, an award-winning feature documentary, celebrates the myriad ways pie is woven into Iowa’s (and America’s) culture, the lengths people will go to for a slice, and how this humble pastry can bake the world a better place.
