Welcome to What The Heck season 4! This podcast explores unexplained phenomena using stories gathered from various sources, then applies an academic research method to find theories and solutions for each one. So far, we've been unsuccessful in finding any concrete answers, but a few of the stories we've covered have been solved. This week, is opening week and we're looking at ghosts! We're 5 days in, and looking at haunted places from around the world! Today, we're off to County Offaly, Ireland, to take a look at Leap Castle.This castle has no official build date, but did start off as a challenge between two brothers. Over the centuries, many deaths have occurred here in the defense of both the area and the family who held the castle. These days, that family doesn't have the castle anymore, but the ghosts still live there. What was the challenge? What was found during renovations in 1922? Where is the Darby treasure hidden?
