Rory McIlroy turned in one of the wildest Sunday rounds in the history of the Masters en route to winning the 89th playing of the Masters and completing the career Grand Slam.
Holding a two shot lead heading into the final round, McIlroy started the day with a double bogey on the first hole and lost his lead to Bryson Dechambeau. The rollercoaster round continued all day for Rory McIlroy until the final hole where he missed a short putt for the win.
Justin Rose made 10 birdies on his way to also finishing -11 and tied for the lead. On the first playoff hole, McIlroy stuffed a wedge in tight to make birdie and take home the Green Jacket.
It was a wild Masters Tournament with Bryson Dechambeau playing well until Sunday when his iron play went off the rails on his way to a 75. Max Homa made his first cut in nearly 9 months and 2018 Masters champion Patrick Reed made an appearance on the leader board with a 3rd place finish.
