In October of 1973, the Smurl family moved into a duplex at 328 Chase Street in West Pittston, Pennsylvania. For almost a decade, things were mostly peaceful, and the Smurls lived a quiet life. In 1985, a demonic presence awoke within the home, and the terrifying events that followed led them to call Ed and Lorraine Warren, a couple who had taken the world of demonology and paranormal investigation by storm.
