Listen Later

Reunited and it feels so good, Aquille and ore are back again with the heat, just like we said we would. We are back y’all and we have a special guest for you today. Today we have none other than the Boss lady herself, Adaeze Hubbard. Adaeze   is a serial entrepreneur having her hand in many different bags she is the founder/owner of the exposed creatives YEG weekly podcast as well as her motivational page Dear Kings and Queens which is  complemented by her apparel company Crowned by Dear Kings and Queens. She also plays a prominent role in C-Tribe as well as 10 for 10 in Calgary. Today on  The Grind Theory Podcast  Adaeze jumps into a number of different topics such as her early days growing up, what events led up to her starting her businesses , the struggle and obstacles that she went through, how she overcome them and what she learnt from them, as well as her love for the community and what she has in store us next.

  • Adaeze takes us back to her early days, being born in Brandon, Manitoba and then moving to Edmonton at an early age. She talks about playing rugby and going to one of the rougher schools in Sherwood park, she goes to talk about some of the courses that helped her in her business now. She also mentions how not going to school is not an option when you have Nigerian parents.

  • She also dives into what it was like going out into the working field after school was done testing the market out for herself. She talks about her first on the job experience and some of the things she faced like racism, or the struggle of being a woman in the workforce to getting laid off and how her job played her.

  • She further goes on to talk about how she hit some of her lowest points from losing her job, discovering bed bugs in her apartment and eventually the car accident. How it changed her thinking from waiting for opportunities,  to going there and taking and creating them.

  • She continues by explaining where her business came about and how she started them as well as her motivation for them. She talks about how she got involved in a second accident and how it affected her physically and mentally. But how it ultimately also led to her biggest blessing: her son. And her belief that every setback is just a setup for a comeback.

  • Finally Adaeze takes her time to share with us all the cool things that are going to be coming up in her businesses. As well as her theory of the grind and how God is a huge part of it as well the importance of moving In love. But we can’t tell you everything y’all gotta go watch but this episode is a banger and really brings home the point of how each struggle and obstacle or setback is just a setup for a comeback.
