Welcome to the Highbrary. We are your Highbrarians. Today we cover “The Goblin Emperor” by Katherine Addison. In this “standalone fantasy novel” we follow Maia, a young half elf-half goblin, as he assumes the role of emperor in the wake of his family’s mysterious deaths. Together we all struggle to learn the traditions and customs of life in an Elvish Court. We also learn that neither of us know how to sound out elvish names AND we are stupid about geography. Join us for the slowest murder plot of all time and other fun anecdotes such as the fact that Annie incorrectly thinks that licorice doesn't count as candy. As always, it's a chaotic time in the Highbrary but we’re still happy to have you. Love, Indy and Annie
