the Millennial Throwback Machine

Episode 143 Part 1: The Monkees

Listen Later

This week I talk about a group I have been kind of avoiding for a while because this group was a HUGE band from the 60's and their music is borderline "mainstream" but at the same time, they are almost "under the radar" that if you are of a certain age so you might know a few of their songs, but you might not know their history if your a Millennial or a Gen Z, so because of this, they do qualify as a group worth covering on my podcast, but I'm DEFINITELY not doing one of their most "Popular" songs that everyone knows, but instead, I"m doing somewhat of a deep cut by them that if you are not already familiar with their music, you might not know this song and just a heads up next week's episode might be pretty long because of how in depth their history is, but it's mainly because I"m sure a lot of you are going on summer vacation right now because cases are so down all across the US and it's a lot safer to travel now compared to last summer, so you can listen to next week's episode on your summer road trip that you might be on due to the current state of the pandemic (which isn't bad at all really).but here's the link to this week's song just in case you guys wanted to hear it:
