Welcome to What The Heck season 4! This podcast explores unexplained phenomena using stories gathered from various sources, then applies an academic research method to find theories and solutions for each one. So far, we've been unsuccessful in finding any concrete answers, but a few of the stories we've covered have been solved. Today, we're looking for lost property on Mount Everest. In 1924, an expedition attempted the first summit. After many failures, George Mallory and Sandy Irvine made their attempt. 3They never returned. 75 years later, a body was discovered on the mountain that answered some questions. Who went up the mountain? Why didn't anyone else summit? Who did the body belong to? What evidence is missing? Listen in to find out!
