And in terms of finding work, Renee suggests taking networking seriously because work could be one connection away.

GOLDEN NUGGETS
Doing the basics well gets you far in the EP industry - Renee: "You don't have to prove, what shows is your work. If you are flexible and you can adapt and you're easygoing and you don't speak to your client unless spoken to, you know, just close sentences, keep it really cool and mutual, and then just do your job and get along with your team, you're going to go far, like really, really far in the industry."
Get out there and network to find work and build a reputation - Renee: "Networking is huge in this industry and almost anything that you do in life is what it is. Right now we have word of technology instead of word of mouth. Back in the day, that's what it used to be. But we have all these opportunities with close protection conferences and LinkedIn, and now they're having these close protection and executive protection mixers all over. They're popping up and I'm thinking, this is a great way to network."
