In this episode, Mariëlle talks about the recent loss of her mother and how it transmuted her creativity in the short term. Lucinda remembers how the death of her mother ten years ago affected her ability to create. Both consider the emotional burden combined with the practical aspects that occur with the death of a family member and how this differs from the death of a beloved pet.

The key lessons were:

Everyone is different but it’s essential to allow space to grieve whether that means we continue writing or not.

Eventual acceptance is easier if we can trust the universe to provide what we need.
