In our first part of Keeping up with Canada, we look into a few controversial bills, the next election dates and how the wildfires have affected Canadians this year.
We find it very important that we look at all sides of the coin. Although it’s not always easy to do, it’s something we find needs to be done.
It’s easy to hear some of the legislation and think it’s an attack on all of us. The last couple years shook us all in the trust department.
But we also know, as we’ve learned, things aren’t always as they appear so it’s important to look for ourselves. To try to learn off the facts not the reactions.
So we dive in to Bill C-18 and C-47 to find out if they truly are “banning vitamins” or that it’s social media’s fault Canadians aren’t getting their news”. Hint: it’s the govs fault lol
We also think it’s important to all get involved.
So we discuss local, provincial and federal elections. They need to be taken back by Canadians and understand what happens and where and when and who. And ensure fair play is happening here. That the system is just, as it’s meant to be.
So we share upcoming election dates to help you prepare to get involved and know who and what you are voting in. We start at the ground level :)
And finally, why is this year being deemed the worst forest fires year? How much has this affected out country? And who?
