Episode 148 Sailing in the Mediterranean My Anchor Setup
This is my anchor set up. In the past I’ve talked about my double anchoring technique. In this episode I describe an image which is available at the
website as well as in a YouTube video. The image is an image of the bow of my boat and my anchor set up and I discuss why I set up my anchor this way.
Specific to my boat is I have a line for a second anchor to deploy off the bow of the primary anchor as well as a yellow poly polypropylene line which would aid in a fouled anchor recovery as well as a beacon for me to spot when I am looking for my anchor at the bottom.

Boat Radio has a variety of different ‘shows’ about different topics and one of them is Sundowners which discusses how to make drinks based upon a given theme. In October, they did one on drinks made with ouzo. I’ve tried several of their recipes (alone, sadly, ouzo is a tough sell to friends who aren’t in a Greek frame of mind) and they’re quite good. They may come in handy next summer. The link is below, the episode was first aired last October 26.”
