Joseph Gorden Levitt is an orphan in Anaheim and so is his pal and so are many of his pals and so is his friend Danny from Philadelphia and this is why I like him. Also the humor in the book. He has spent his whole life knowing where the Anaheim angels play baseball and he can tell you the executive chef at the days inn and where to get the best croissants on main street. I went to that Disney resort on opening day for crying out loud. Look I'm not asking for much I just want baseball players to be good through the help of God and blood and sweat and whatnot. Baseball books. And there is plenty of that in the pages of Cant Buy Me Love. His account of what it's like to be an orphan is such a wonderful description of believing in yourself and winning baseball games. I read it I was like really how is it this you gotta forget what people say you gotta be a tough guy and being a baseball player is a tough guy job.
