A quick introduction to our enchanting, beautiful Texan lady- She is ‘Unbreakable’, in name and spirit!

So, I am browsing the internet and I see a live discussion on Narcissists, I’m intrigued by the subject but also by the hundreds of comments that is streaming through. I listen to the speaker who grabs my attention with her authentic and passionate approach to the subject of abuse and trauma. She manages to educates thousands of women and men across the globe by sharing her wisdom, vulnerabilities and journey of healing from child abuse and adult abuse…..

Fast forward a year later and this inspirational, gorgeous soul is sharing her story with us on ‘Freedom 2 Talk’. It is important that we all have a voice, and our stories across all communities are heard. She is the same as every victim who has been touched by violence and she as every other survivor deserves to be heard and supported.

Unbreakable, speaks from the heart and in this episode, we hear how, as a child she endured years of growing up in an environment that left her feeling- never good enough and unlovable. This became the blueprint for her future adult relationships and played out in her two toxic abusive marriages to perpetrators. We join her from child to teenager and hear how the impact of child abuse and sexual molestation side lines her future into more abuse. This will be upsetting for some, but it highlights the need for a trauma informed empathic approach to be used by all. If your child is school age and you have concerns, ask to speak to your schools safeguarding lead and request that your child and you receive support for Domestic Abuse. Since 2021 The UK Domestic Abuse Bill recognised and named children exposed to domestic abuse are also ‘victims of Domestic Abuse’ and should be supported and protected as such.
