The Florida Spectacular welcomes Dr. José García, the author of Voices from Mariel. Dr. Garcia also co-produced the award winning documentary by the same name. 

Both his book and documentary have been presented nationally and internationally in such places as Europe and Australia. 

Dr. Garcia left Cuba as apart of the Mariel boatlift when he was a teenager.
