Within months, he had bought her a car, investing in her business and planning a future in Brazil. But behind the romance, there were warning signs: unauthorized charges. Tens of thousands of dollars disappearing from Ray’s accounts. Still hopeful, Ray kept returning to visit this woman in Sao Paulo. Then silence. No calls. No emails.
