Bird's Eye View

Episode 154: Street Walkers

Listen Later

Leading Off
We’re another week closer to the start of the season. The Orioles are… getting their work in. Here’s hoping that their efforts pay off in April, because they won’t be winning any Grapefruit League trophies this year.
Thanks to everyone who watched our episode preview on Periscope. Find us on Periscope – birdseyeviewbal. Each week, we’ll broadcast an episode preview as well as the worst ideas that didn’t make the show.
We start, as always, with the Drink of the Week. Make sure to tell us what you’re up to via Twitter (@birdseyeviewbal), or on Untapped (jakee4025 and magn8606).

This Medical Wing
This week’s Medical Wing has the following patients:

* Tillman hip flexor (or whatever)
* Swingin’ Jimmy Wrist Sprain
* Brian Matusz (lower back)
* TJ McFarland (elbow tenderness)
* Ozzie Martinez (head)

This Week on the Twitters

Yeah, I never take @BirdsEyeViewBal seriously. https://t.co/wqJlPTaWAz

Source: Jackson chose #WhiteSox partly out of desire to play CF rather than LF. #Angels offered more money, but obviously not CF.

Street Walkers

When we say “friend of the program,” we mean it. Derek Arnold of Eutaw Street Report has been a supporter of Bird’s Eye View, way before we deserved even half of that support. Derek knows his Orioles. Also, he’s an incredibly good dude, who happens to be Senior Editor at Russell Street Report and Eutaw Street Report. Check him out on Twitter @eutawstreport, and his personal handle @BMoreBirdsNest.
We discuss the state of the Orioles, whether we should Panic! at the Ballpark, and drinks of the week.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Who had a great week? Who had a tough week? Who made us ashamed to be Orioles fans? Find out in this week’s GB&U. The guys run through their Good, Bad, and Ugly for the week.
Tweet us your selections @birdseyeviewbal with #OsGood, #OsBad, and #OsUgly.

Blowing the Save

Most podcasts try to end on a high note – the perfect coda to a quality program. That’s just not our style. Each week, we’ll end on a weak note, blowing the save with an item that didn’t quite fit into the episode, or something they simply need to get off their chests. It’s our version of taking the ball and pulling a Kevin Gregg.
