When the Lord Jesus Christ returns, it is the end of the world as we know it, but the beginning of His millennial reign on earth. For 1,000 years humanity will witness an age of peace and righteousness only dreamed of, and it will be a foretaste of the new heaven and new earth. Men will see the Lord coming and fear His wrath. It is likely they will believe the antichrist can defeat Him, hence they will worship the Beast.

The armies of the antichrist gather at Jerusalem to battle the returning Savior. They are destroyed by the Lord; their flesh melts away as they stand on their feet.

When Christ returns, he separates the nations and only the righteous go into the kingdom of heaven.
