(Gen. 35:16-29) Jacob's beloved wife Rachel died fairly young. Many believe his father Isaac lived 5 times as long as she did. But at the end of the day, when they died, they were both gone just the same. It's sobering to think about how short this earthly life is compared to eternity (no matter how long or short your life ends up being). Remember that it isn't the length of a life that makes it significant. It's who you are and what you do with your life that really matters.
