Episode 16: Optimal decision making through meditation

Listen Later

In this episode of the Kendra Maya podcast, we cover the dynamics associated with making good decisions for oneself and those we care about. Kendra Maya delves into the following questions:

What is the effect of putting off a decision until later?

What is the most optimal approach towards making a good decision?

When is the best time to make key life-changing decisions?

At the core of optimal decision making is the ability to use logic, emotions and gut feeling in a way that will bring the best results for an individual and their community. It is easy to be biased towards pure logic or pure feelings, whereas in Yoga, meditation teaches a balanced approach towards optimal decision making by connecting to all three (and its divisions - what we know as the 9 chakras).

It is also crucial to know with certainty what one truly wants - not what your friends, family or your ancestors want of you - but what you want. And this clarity comes when we get in touch with our inner voice by terminating our brain chatter.
