Today I'm speaking with Eleanor Clark about the power of body neutrality as a tool for diet and disordered eating recovery. During our conversation, Eleanor both describes what body neutrality is and offers a few tools for implementing it into your food + body healing journey.
Eleanor is an eating disorder therapist who used to work in a higher level of care setting, but very recently made the transition to her very own outpatient private practice. Topics of many of her sessions with patients and clients include intuitive eating, body image, and distress tolerance/as well as mindfulness skills.
She’s writing a book about body neutrality as an alternative to body positivity titled Body Neutrality: Finding Acceptance and Liberation in a Body-Focused Culture. This book will be published by Routledge in December of 2022!
