This week I sit down with with indie alt folk duo Currer Bell. Formed of sisters Faron and Merle. A pair i stumbled across in a usual online daze and found their music of which you can hear at the beginning of this weeks episode and the end!
They create work about tragedy, with haunting melody and lyrics and we discuss how that lends itself to the folk genre and how they have found catharsis through creating how they have been missing performing and the general vibe of on stage rebirth through their music.
They make powerful songs and overall we talk about how art is a gateway to healing for may experiencing trauma and dealing with the larger pictures in this word of nihilistic impending doom.
Their debut EP, Lullabies for an Apocalypse, is a ragtag band of tales about catastrophes, personal, public and planetary and available now!
