Jehlani Jenkins is a retired NFL linebacker. He was selected by the Miami Dolphins in the 2013 NFL draft. During his NFL career he played for the Dolphins, Raiders, Texans, and Bills. Prior to his time in the NFL, Jehlani played college football at the University of Florida under then Head Coach Urban Meyer. Since retiring from the NFL, Jehlani founded the PostSeasonApp, a company helping athletes transition out of their sport & into the next phase of their career.
In this episode, Jehlani shares his story from a shy kid to NFL linebacker & entrepreneur. He talks about the “training sessions” growing up, where he & his father would watch Muhammed Ali highlights to train the practice of visualizing success. Jehlani shares about the rock-bottom moment during his retirement that completely changed the trajectory of his life. His story was very moving & definitely inspired me to be more conscious of my own thought-patterns.
