Keenan Allen is arguably the most underrated WR in the NFL. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the 3rd round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Aaron Taylor is one of the best college football players ever. He was inducted into the college football hall of fame in ‘21. Taylor was selected 16th overall to the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 1994 NFL draft. He played in two Super Bowls with the Packers, winning SBXXXl. During his time in Green Bay he blocked and learned from one of the greatest players to ever play the game, Brett Farve. He earned a second contract with the then ‘San Diego’ Chargers. After battling knee injuries, Taylor stepped away from the game after the 1999 NFL season. Since retiring from football Taylor founded the prestigious Joe Moore Award given to the best offensive line group in college football, the only major award given to a group rather than an individual.

Shawne Merriman is a former NFL All-Pro & ProBowl linebacker for the Los Angeles Chargers. Shawne’s story is another reminder that you don’t have to be defined by your circumstances. He overcame enormous odds to become one of the best pass-rushers the NFL has ever seen. After growing up in Washington, D.C., Merriman decided to stay home & play college ball at Maryland, despite being highly recruited by more prestigious football schools. During Freshman orientation Shawne is famously known for looking his coaches & teammates in the eyes and saying, “I’m playing three years & going pro.” He did just that.

Since retiring from the NFL, Shawne has become a successful entrepreneur under the brand “Lights Out” — a nickname he was given after knocking four opponents out in a single high school football game (this was quite the story). Brandon Staley is the second year head football coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. He is considered one of the brightest young minds in in the game, joining the Chargers in 2021 at just 38 years of age. After an up & down first season, Staley looks to lead the Chargers through a packed AFC West in 2022. Prior to coaching at the Chargers, he coached at three other NFL clubs: Rams, Bears, & Broncos. Before he started his coaching career in 2006, Staley played college quarterback at the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!).

In the past ten years, Staley has coached for 8 different programs, both college & NFL.
