Hello ModernJeepers, welcome to Episode Number 17 of The ModernJeeper Show… the show about Jeeps, Jeeping and Jeepers.

This week is another special Flashback Episode. Back when ModernJeeper was just a nascent website and the idea of a podcast was just a whim, Matson interviewed several industry leaders while at the 2015 Off Road Expo in Pomona, California.

Each interview was about 30 minutes long, and was conducted from a table at Metalcloak’s 20 x 30 booth right in the middle of the show and you can clearly hear all the action going on around us.

In this Flashback Episode, Matson is joined by Greg Cottrell of Rugged Radios who joined this podcast back in Episode #11.

Off Road Expo 2015 was the first time Rugged had debuted a custom Polaris RZR, and Greg talks about what it took to build the Baja RZR in complete secrecy.

He also shares why he is the guy who created the off road radio industry, what scares him, what you might be surprised to learn about him, what advice he would give any business owner and why, with over a dozen cars in his collection, his son prefers his Cloak’d JK Wrangler. Finally Greg answers the famous question “how would you finish the sentence ‘Metalcloak Is…’”
