The B-17 F Meat Hound and her crew fly a mission to Saint Nazaire May 1, 1943 when tragedy once again strikes the 423rd Grim Reapers Bomb Squadron after a navigational error. The Steele crew watch in horror as close friends are shot down in front of them. When a sister aircraft catches on fire the Meat Hound and the Steele crew fly protective cover doing all they can to help their friends get back to England.
