If there is one thing which irks me it's Gatekeeping, whether it be in education, fashion, music, hobbies you name if there is a level of gate keeping going on I'm going to either. A. Find the key and duplicate it to get past you or B. Irritate you to a point where you have to acknowledge your ridiculousness.

We get a lot of it in society and have seen it hugely in alternative and gothic culture as well as hobbies and gaming so lets discuss why this happens and the degree to which people will go to to keep those gates closed.
