Anyone doing this will eventually learn happiness is short lived if it doesn't dwell within first. Happiness, love, peace, etc must lie within you first. Too many people seek those things in others only to find out the hard way it doesn't work. Basing your happiness on someone else will end up causing you to feel worse.
