In this 18th episode we have the honour of speaking to Matiu Leonard.

Matiu is a current Senior Station Officer Firefighter based in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton area). He has dedicated his life to this career and shares with us his experiences in his role.

Matiu is an awesome role-model in the community and is currently trying to fight for better working conditions, pay and equipment for all his crew throughout Aotearoa. 

It was a blessing and privilege to speak to Matiu and we definitely Tautoko him and his endeavours for the future.

Lastly don’t mistake Matiu from the lead singer from @six60 @Matiu. He always gets mistaken for him due to his singing skills and great taste of music.
