Welcome to the first two part episode here at The Arcane Academy Podcast. Today I have Jordain Cheng-Kinnander, artist, author, scholar, and all around amazing human with me today. In this first part of the interview, we get into his new book Beings fo Yggdrasil and all the work that went into researching the creatures, gods, and lore. We dive into the misconceptions of often co-opted by white supremacist or white nationalist groups surrounding ancient Germanic or Scandinavian religion and culture. What he has to say is so clear and informative it completely dismantles every argument someone with racialist tendencies might have. Finally, we start discussing the theology and practices we know about these ancient cultures and people through what art and iconography we know of.
